I had a wonderful stay at the hotel, thanks to the amazing service from ‘Golden’ and ‘Ruby’ at the reception. I asked for a good place to try xiaolongbao, and they not only recommended a local favorite but also helped with the reservation. They even suggested what to order from the menu, and it turned out to be a truly delicious and memorable experience. Their kind and thoughtful support made my trip even more special. Thank you so much!

Older hotel with a bit of charm thanks to the in-room jacuzzi. Service was okay overall—there was a small hiccup when I asked for extra water bottles. The front desk initially brushed it off but eventually got them for me after I explained they had run out in my room. Not a big deal, just something to note. What really makes this hotel stand out is the location. You’re just steps away from Dihua Street’s shopping scene, the traditional Yongle Market, and the famous Ningxia Night Market. It’s also about a 5-minute walk to the MRT, so getting around is super easy. I booked through the Klook app for around $100 CAD per night, which felt fair. I skipped the hotel breakfast because there are just too many incredible local spots nearby to justify staying in. One unexpected bonus was a free shuttle tour to Jiufen included with the booking—well worth it and a great way to spend the day. If you’re into nightlife or craft cocktails, there are two must-visits close by. Taku-Syaku is a gem for whiskey lovers. The owner, Young, is incredibly passionate and knows his spirits inside and out. Antique Bar 1900 is another standout. Step inside and you’re transported to a lush Victorian-era setting with an exclusive taste of French absinthe. Lastly, MUST VISIT THE COFFEE SHOW AROUND THE CORNER!!!! If you’re a coffee fanatic you’ll LOVE the pour over experience. All in all, the hotel itself is pretty average, but if you’re here for the location, food, and access to unique local spots, it’s a solid choice.

It’s in an ideal location close to the Nanxia Night market and to the Young Le Market and old Chinatown. The rooms are big and well appointed with decent furnishings. There’s a nice jacuzzi bathtub that was unexpected but definitely welcome. The beds are firm and pillows are decent. However, the shower has a lot of mold? Or black stuff in all the corners and on the mortar in between the marble tiles. That is unsightly and unhygienic. Finally, the breakfast that comes with the room is poor. The food is lukewarm at best and lacks any flavor and shows a poorly trained kitchen staff. Most of the food is unappetizing although there is coffee and fresh juice. The staff are all very nice and welcoming which helps a lot. A little more attention to the showers and to breakfast would make this a solid five stars.
