Royal Ship Hotel

Probably the biggest pub/ hotel in Dolgellau. Didn’t stay so can’t comment on the rooms. Good selection of beers, lagers and wine. Robinson’s brew a Campden Stout too, delicious. Anyway, I can only comment the food and the service . Haddock chips and mushy peas in our case. Absolutely delicious and in a way totally unexpected. Even better because as we were eating on a Tuesday in was on promotion at £11.95 (I think), anyway great value for money. Staff brilliant, friendly but very efficient. Toilets immaculate, kind of says it all! I’ll be back!

We stopped here for food on our way back down from North Wales, after leaving another place due to an underwhelming menu. The place is very clean and well kept, and the staff are very friendly. I went for salmon and rice- the salmon was huge and the dish was delicious. The price is very reasonable also. I will be returning next time I pass through for dinner 100%. (Unfortunately, my phone was dead and I could not take any photos.)

Wonderful Hotel. The rooms are spotless and very comfy. The food is excellent . The staff helpful and cheerful. If you are looking for a break in a town that only the locals can pronounce this is the place
