Royale Chulan The Curve

Generally a basic hotel that has majority things working. The TV wasn't working but we didn't call for help cos we didn't use it. The towels smell a bit odd, but no choice, have to use. I got the family suite so it was really big and spacious. The buffet breakfast is catered for locals, there is some variety and still at least have a live egg station. Location wise is great if you wanna go Kidzania for the whole day as it is walking distance. Overall, still a decent hotel with its old charm.

The only good thing I can say about the hotel is that its location is very nice. Other than that, everything else is below average. I can also say that the employees are well-intentioned and helpful, but it was a bad experience for us. The rooms are bad, the wallpaper is peeling off. There is no phone in the rooms. We had to call the hotel's external line to tell them that the TV was not working. When no one came for hours, we went to the reception and complained, and we learned that they used the Whats Up line instead of the phone line. The breakfast was also below average. The breakfast is aimed at local customers. As a result, I was not satisfied.

The good location is the only thing we liked about this hotel. It's connected to a mall and easy access to kidzania. Check in: We tried to check in after 3pm and was told to sit and wait 30 minutes?! Rooms: Dated rooms. Noisy air conditioning. Couldn't really sleep well and sneezed so much. Skin felt itchy on their bedsheets. Bathroom: Black mold and broken shower head. Definitely did not live up to the number of stars it apparently has. Poor quality for the price. We won't be returning.
