Average Stay – Some Hits, Some Misses Overall, my experience at the resort was average. While the property itself had potential, several aspects of the stay left much to be desired. Food & Drinks: The food was hit or miss. Dinner at the sit-down restaurants came in very small portions, which may suit light eaters, but I often found myself still hungry afterward. To make matters more complicated, reservations are required—and you can only make them during certain hours, with a limit of one reservation per day. Room service was disappointing. It took 1–2 hours to arrive, the menu was very limited (mainly pizza, burgers, wraps, and chicken tenders), and the quality was poor. The buffet was the most reliable dining option with better variety and flavor, though communication about the buffet hours was unclear. Drink service was another letdown. The bartenders were very stingy with alcohol and seemed apprehensive about serving anything stronger than a juice-heavy mocktail. While I understand the resort’s need to be cautious, as a responsible adult wanting to enjoy a couple of drinks, it felt unnecessarily restricted. Service: The staff were generally friendly, but not particularly helpful. They didn’t go above and beyond to ensure guests were comfortable. The one exception was my wedding coordinator, Ilse, who was fantastic and made sure I was taken care of from start to finish. Her professionalism and attention to detail truly stood out. Housekeeping was just okay—I had to call twice to get my room cleaned. When I requested extra towels from a staff member while waiting, I was told “no” and that only large towels were available, which felt unnecessarily rigid and frustrating. Amenities & Activities: This area was a major disappointment, especially on the Hideaway (adults-only) side. There were barely any scheduled activities or entertainment options for adults. Most guests said they spent their days eating and lounging at the pool because there was nothing else to do. For a resort that caters to adults, I expected more variety and engagement. Additionally, the adult pools close at 7 PM, which feels unnecessarily early—especially for guests who don’t have swim-out rooms and want to relax after dinner. On top of that, the resort only has air conditioning in the rooms. All the common areas and restaurants are open-air and very hot, which made it uncomfortable at times. I highly recommend bringing a portable fan if you're planning to visit. If you're looking for a resort with outstanding food, strong drinks, attentive service, and engaging activities, this may not be the ideal choice. While there were a few bright spots—such as the buffet and the exceptional service from my wedding coordinator—the overall experience didn’t meet expectations for a relaxing or fun getaway.

I highly advise against staying at this hotel, as they engage in false advertising regarding complementary airport shuttle services. The room I booked was not ready upon arrival, which was particularly disappointing given that I had informed the hotel about my birthday celebration at the time of booking. Furthermore, the hotel staff's welcoming demeanor was subpar, and the mini-bar was not stocked. The valet staff, operated by Prime Travelers, a third-party company, were unacceptably rude, and I believe it is crucial for them to maintain excellent hospitality standards for all guests. On a positive note, the bellman, Aaron, and employee Georgina, provided exceptional service and ensured that my birthday celebration was a success. The restaurant staff also delivered outstanding service. I am sharing this review to inform potential guests and hope that the hotel will take necessary steps to coach their staff and provide a more pleasant experience for visitors.

This resort is a complete scam wrapped in false advertising. We booked the Hideaway “adult-only” side and instantly regretted it. • 2 hours to check in with staff who clearly don’t care. • Room service gave me food I’m allergic to. • Buffet server refused me a drink because it was “too close to closing” — after making me wait 20+ minutes. Rude beyond belief. • The entire hotel smells like wet mold, stray animals roam freely, and management does absolutely nothing. • We prepaid for birthday room decorations weeks in advance — nothing. But somehow, they’ll happily charge $24 for Advil and $35 for sunscreen. • The Hideaway side is a joke. No activities, no entertainment, no energy — just boredom and bland food. This resort is falling apart, the staff is untrained, and management is shameless. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Marriott should be embarrassed to put their name on it — and I’ll be contacting corporate directly. Save yourself the money, stress, and disappointment. Never stay here.
