A Slice of Paradise – 7 Days in Royalton Negril, Jamaica If you're dreaming of the perfect Caribbean beach vacation, Royalton Negril delivers in every way. The beach is absolutely stunning—powdery white sand, swaying palm trees, and plenty of natural shade if you're looking to relax out of the sun. The sea is warm like bathwater, making every swim feel luxurious. The resort itself is beautifully designed, with the entire property stretching along the coastline. This means you're constantly treated to breathtaking ocean views and the refreshing scent of the sea breeze. The grounds are lush and vibrant, filled with colorful flowers and well-maintained tropical bushes that add to the paradise vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and respectful, always ready with a smile and helpful attitude. One of the highlights of our trip was snorkeling on the coral reef—swimming among the fish was truly the cherry on top of an already amazing experience. We heard a lot of suggestions to upgrade to the Diamond Club, but honestly, we didn’t find it necessary. A great tip instead is to pre-book a room that suits your preferences. We chose a room with a pool right on the oceanfront, and it was absolutely worth it. As for downsides, there’s only one: the jerk chicken didn’t quite hit the mark. It lacked that authentic Jamaican flavor we were hoping for—but that’s a small detail in an otherwise unforgettable trip.

Nice resort. Food in the main dining hall was good. It was hard to get a reservation at any of the specialty dining places unless you were diamond club. That didn't seem fair but luckily the other food was good. The battery on our room lock died so we got locked out of our room twice before they figured out the problem and had to walk so far to get to the front desk for help. And of course we get locked out after long days at the pool/beach or hanging out when we were already tired. They would tell us 5 minutes and it'd be 15 minutes or more before anyone would help. We had to get to the pool early because it closed at 6pm everyday which we thought was very early for a resort. Our room did not have any soap when we arrived. We called for it and it never came. We chased down a cleaning person to get some. The staff was all very nice just very slow and not very good at explaining everything about the resort amenities. I felt safe and secure here but I would probably not return unless I was attending an event.

The place is beautiful! Our room was decent and had some cosmetic issues that needs fixing. Fridge didn’t get or stay very cold leaving drinks blah. Staff was amazing for the most part and accommodating! Overall for what we paid for the week I feel happy about the value returned!!! We are and drank everything we wanted and it didn’t cost any extra! Brought a couple hundred singles and made sure every staff member who took care of us was blessed!!!
