I’m usually the guy leaving negative reviews when things go wrong, but this time I’m happy to share a positive one. Ruean Racha Resort in Chiang Mai truly exceeded my expectations—a calm, beautiful oasis with some of the warmest, most thoughtful service I’ve experienced in a long time. Here’s a breakdown of why this place stands out: 1. Birthday Surprise 🎉 I planned this trip as a birthday surprise for my girlfriend and asked the resort if they could help with some decorations. I even offered to pay for it. Not only did they refuse to charge me, but they surprised us with the loveliest setup and a free birthday cake. My girlfriend was thrilled, and so was I. 2. Thoughtful Service 🛎️ The next morning, I woke up with a terrible headache. When I asked the staff if they could help me order some medicine, they simply brought over some paracetamol, no fuss, and it helped instantly. Small gestures like this really go a long way. 3. Attention to Detail 🧹 The rooms were spotless every night, but what impressed me most was how they adapted to our habits. For example, they usually stored the hair dryer in the closet, but since we kept taking it out to use, they just left it out for us. It’s such a small thing, but it shows how attentive and humanized their service is. 4. The Setting 🌳 If you’ve ever dreamed of escaping to a quiet, private retreat surrounded by nature and cute farm animals, this is it. Tucked in the mountains, about 30 minutes from Chiang Mai, the resort is perfect for winding down and refreshing from city life. There are also some fun activities nearby, like visiting elephant sanctuaries, so you won’t get bored. 5. Transport Tip 🚕 The only minor downside, which isn’t the hotel’s fault, is that getting a Grab taxi can be tricky. Drivers often accept rides and then ask for extra money. We had to cancel a few rides before finding a fair one. Just something to keep in mind.

A hidden gem in Mae Rim. Conveniently located to tourist attractions, but tucked away in a quiet corner. Bolt taxis and Grab food deliveries were done without a problem. Nini was a so friendly to deal with right from the booking of the room. She arranged tours for us and was available to reply to queries even late at night. We had booked a villa. It was tastefully decorated and equipped with 2 huge TVs in each room, an oven, a microwave, a coffee machine, a fridge, and a washer dryer in the villa. Lovely sit out area. The sheep were a hit with the kids! Will definitely recommend this resort.

Wonderful resort experience with the privacy that is expected. The place is tastefully build with high quality finishes. The service is 5 stars no less that comes with sumptuous meals from breakfast to dinner. Last but not least, the location is not too far from city centre and near to many entertainment amenities like zip line, ATV ride, rifle range, elephant ride and etc. Definitely will recommend friends to stay.
