Rufford Hotel

Nice place with some lovely staff. I had a lovely stay thanks to a lady called Emma on reception. She greeted me warmly on my arrival and was extremely polite and helpful throughout my stay. Thanks again. I will definitely be back.

Nice enough hotel but it's not the nice grand looking building on all the pictures. That's the pub and restaurant. The hotel is behind that and is much more like a slightly old premier inn with rooms that appear to have seen quite a bit of use since last being decorated or refitted. Rooms are clean and tidy but a little tired. The hotel car park is to the side of the hotel and reached using quite a step path which can be slippery if it's been raining so take care walking up and down to the car park.

Room was dated and in need of renovation but everything we needed was included and present. Check in staff very helpful. Bar staff a little surly. Perhaps repainting car park lines including disabled bays would have saved me from tackling the steep hill from the car park.
