Recently stayed here for 3 days and highly recommend. It’s perfectly located and the service is top notch. I would recommend splurging and getting the larger room in the newer section. Less cramped if there are two of you. View from “18” is spectacular. Enjoy!!
We had a last minute change of plans and were fortunate to get a night here. The staff was outstanding. We had car difficulties on the way to St. Andrew’s. The staff was so kind and helpful with moving things around. The rooms were beautiful and the food at 18 was outstanding. After dinner we were able to have drinks on rooftop and watch the golfers on Old Links Course.
Probably the absolute best location for a stay in St Andrews. Service can be very hit or miss. Front desk and service at the restaurants were pretty terrible, but the bell service and others were very kind and accommodating. My room was very nice however my view was a roof top covered in bird droppings, so that was not great.
