Ruskovets Resort & Thermal SPA

Beautiful hotel with beautiful views! Tastefully decorated apartments and villas. A mix of comfort and luxury. Spa and pool are great - the pool is excellent for children and people who can’t swim as it’s not deep. It has mineral water. The jacuzzi has mountain views. There’s a smaller pool for children too. Children can play in a specially decorated area, sometimes under the care of an animator. The ping pong room is a great bonus. We were happy with the improved quality of the food on our last visit. However, a big request is to provide better pillows! The ones we used were all too soft and visibly overused.

The place is good, but the rooms smell weirdly, the diner is no good. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the overall feel is of something obsolete that was not very well taken care of. The spa is so so - there a lot of restrictions like no jumping in the pool, no loud noises and so on and also the jacuzzi is paid extra... The breakfast was good.

Our family spent a wonderful 7 days at Ruskovets Resort. The hotel itself is warm and inviting, and the staff were consistently polite, friendly, and helpful. The food was also a highlight, with a good variety of tasty dishes. However, the beverage service was a significant letdown. During dinner, there were no complimentary beverages offered at all, not even water. The water dispensers and coffee/tea machines were turned off, forcing guests to purchase bottled water at inflated prices. This felt unnecessary and a bit greedy. There was also an incident at breakfast where an employee kindly turned on the coffee machine for me a few minutes after the official end of breakfast, only to be reprimanded by her manager. Furthermore, as many guests come to the area for skiing, we were surprised to find that the hotel offered no shuttle service to the nearby ski center in Dobrinishte. Even worse, the reception staff had limited information about the road conditions or the ski lift operating hours, making it difficult to plan our ski days. While these might seem like small things, they detracted from the overall experience and are easily fixable. Despite this, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Ruskovets, but hope they reconsider their beverage policy and improve their services for skiers.
