I've stayed here several times. It's a gem of a hotel on the Costa Brava. You're literally staying in a palace at an incredibly reasonable price. It's the ultimate boutique hotel with heritage and architectural integrity. The front desk staff are outstanding and extremely professional. The restaurant is absolutely top notch. Be sure to have the daily menu for lunch. Can't be beat really.

Nice restaurant, with a lot of intimacy. Curtains are closing the area to eat within your family or friends

The hotel is set in a breathtaking medieval palace, which adds a unique charm to the experience its decorated almost like a museum with antique furniture and paintings. The gardens are stunning and very well cared for. Unfortunately, the room itself falls short of the 5-star expected standard. The paint and wallpaper is noticeably aged (not well) , some small damages on the inside of the door, loud noise from a/c at night and there’s a rust stain on the bathtub that detracts from the otherwise beautiful setting. I also found it unusual that only one pillow per person was provided—while not a major issue, most 4-star hotels typically offer at least two. (In fairness, I could have requested extra pillows, but I didn’t.) Unfortunately, the room had a damp smell, likely due to the age and stone structure of the building, which triggered my allergies and caused me to wake up coughing in the middle of the night. On a positive note, the reception staff were lovely and welcoming, and the complimentary parking was a fantastic convenience, making our stay much easier. The location is also ideal, situated right next to the town's church and within walking distance to everything. Overall, while the setting is stunning, I feel we paid more for the potential of what this experience could have been, rather than the reality.
