Rydges Port Macquarie

Beautiful rooms, great location, plenty of parking and on-street parking opposite a police station and the rooms are immaculate with comfortable beds. We will be staying here again for sure. The only down side is we forgot to remember the lady who checked us in, she was incredible and so polite, courteous and just a great human being. If she isn't a manager I really hope they make her one because that's the person you want as the face of your hotel.

Disappointing Start to My Daughter’s Honeymoon I use Booking.com frequently and have never had an issue at any property, whether in Australia or overseas — until now. I booked and paid for my daughter’s honeymoon through Booking.com, but upon arrival at the hotel, she was told the booking hadn’t been paid. Thankfully, I’m a local and was able to rush to the property and provide proof of payment. The staff simply blamed Booking.com and offered no real assistance or apology. Not a great start to what should have been a joyful and relaxing honeymoon in Port Macquarie. To make matters worse, the way my daughter and her new husband were spoken to at check-in was shockingly disrespectful — far below the standard one would expect from a hotel of this calibre. I was there with them and witnessed it firsthand. I left feeling both insulted and genuinely sad for them. On top of that, a $100 security hold was placed on her card at check-in and only disappeared today and only after after a few phone calls to chase it up and nearly two weeks after checkout. While the rest of their stay was thankfully better, the poor handling of check-in and the lack of courtesy left a sour taste. As a local, I would not recommend this hotel — or their sister property, Sails — to visitors or fellow residents. There are far better options in the area that treat guests with the respect and professionalism they deserve. Isolated incident maybe?

Was told i had a newly renovated room Room was nice but showers were cold. Not a happy customer. They need to fix their thermostatic mixing valve in their new bathroom its only letting you have a cold shower Stay somewhere else is my advice
