Rydges Rotorua

Stayed at Rydges Rotorua not long ago and had such a great experience! The staff were very friendly and welcoming from the second we arrived. The room was clean and spacious. We had a beautiful view overlooking the racecourse, and it was such a good spot to relax. The buffet breakfast was also very good. So many options and everything was fresh and delicious. It is also just a short drive from the lakefront and other activities. Good parking and good customer service. I will stay here again next time I'm in Rotorua. I recommend this place!

Rooms are very comfortable. The pool and spa are nice and warm. And the bar has plenty of great drinks available. The hotel is quite close to some of the larger geothermal vents and can get quite smelly(rotten egg/sulfur smell), so bear in mind when booking. Staff were lovely and very helpful too. Traveling in winter meant the hotel was a bit quieter than I imagine it is in summer so it was nice to have plenty of room to move.

Small rooms. Balconies are not up to health code so they're all locked and shut down. Great service. Heated pool via the geysers. Super delicious. Water pressure in the showers are spectacular. Amenities smell great. Eco friendly opt-out maid service option. Smokers area designated near entrance, don't have to go for a hike. Pleasant enough
