I stayed at this hotel located in the Hongdae shopping district for few nights. First of all, every staff was incredibly friendly and always had a warm smile. The hotel has a stylish design, the room was well soundproofed, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was beautifully prepared and delicious, with different options every day. There’s also a blue bottle coffee on the ground floor and a rooftop bar on the 15th floor with a lovely view of Seoul. The surrounding area is filled with restaurants and shops, and there’s a convenience store right across the street. Hongik University Station on Line 2 is just a few minute walk away, and it takes less than 20 minutes to get to Myeongdong. Highly recommended!

Our first hotel during our first time in South Korea, and we absolutely loved it! Location was amazing, Hongdae is such a cool area to stay in. They upgraded our room for free and the room was excellent. Clean, large, very comfortable bed. They also helped arrange a jumbo taxi for us. Very friendly service. Highly recommend this place.

RYSE has been our go-to hotel for the last three trips to Seoul, and for good reason. The staff are consistently welcoming and helpful, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the location is perfect for shopping and exploring the Hongdae area. That said, during our most recent visit, the hotel felt more crowded than usual—particularly with large groups of tourists which impacted the overall vibe and quietness we were used to. Additionally, some parts of the rooms and facilities are beginning to feel a bit outdated and could use a refresh. Still, RYSE remains a convenient and comfortable option in Seoul. We just hope to see some updates on our next stay.
