A perfect stay with a view! I had a wonderful experience at Ryukyu Onsen Senagajima Hotel. The highlight was definitely the stunning airport view—watching planes take off and land over the water was truly unique. The onsen facilities were top-notch, with indoor and outdoor baths, saunas, and a relaxing atmosphere. Just a short 100m walk from the hotel are some excellent restaurants, making dining super convenient. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax with a beautiful view and great amenities!

Ryukyu Onsen Senagajima Hotel is undoubtedly worth a visit. The staff are remarkably professional, consistently attentive, and maintain a warm, genuine smile—a level of service that reflects Japan’s renowned hospitality at its finest. Most rooms overlook the runway at Naha Airport, with double-glazed windows that provide highly effective soundproofing. For aviation enthusiasts, this is nothing short of paradise. Few places in the world allow you to soak naked in an onsen while watching planes take off and land—an experience that borders on the surreal. We stayed in a side-facing room overlooking the runway and the hotel’s entrance, complete with an outdoor soaking tub. Unfortunately, the March winds were particularly unforgiving. Curiously, the more affordable rooms have enclosed outdoor tubs that shield against the cold, while our higher-priced room was left to the mercy of the elements with nothing but a flimsy curtain for protection. A brief and rather chilly soak resulted in an inevitable cold—an irony not lost on us. Breakfast is a highlight—an abundant and beautifully presented Japanese spread that could easily see you through until dinner if you linger until ten. The hotel’s onsen, “Ryujin no Yu,” features both indoor and outdoor pools. The standing outdoor pool, facing the runway and the endless blue sky, is particularly striking—a touch of theatre that enhances the relaxation. A special mention must go to POSILLIPO Cucina Meridionale, the hotel’s Italian restaurant, which offers an equally impressive experience. The food is excellent, and the staff maintain the same level of professionalism and warmth that defines the entire property. An overall delightful stay, though one hopes the hotel might consider extending the same level of care to the outdoor tub situation as they do to the breakfast and the view.

The scenery is absolutely stunning, and the service is top-notch. I will definitely return to stay again in the future. Additionally, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the staff for their assistance when my mother experienced a hypoglycemic episode while using the hot springs. Despite the language barrier, everyone showed genuine care for us. Thank you so much!
