Great service! The beautiful views were a highlight, and having restaurants and the mall within easy walking distance was incredibly convenient. A definite plus for anyone looking for a great experience!

First, I wouldn't call this a luxury hotel. It has a Vegas aesthetic to it and the actual details of the hotel are very much lacking (old, peeling paint, bad insulation, stains on some of the towels, the toilet doesn't flush very well, no slippers or anything, etc.). MTY is more of a business city which shows in the hotel options that are available, as this would struggle to compete otherwise. Some pluses outside of the negatives is that they do include a free ironing of up to 2 items a day and were pretty generous with the bottles of water they included with the room. I also wouldn't call it a particularly convenient location. The turn into the hotel is very annoying (an unprotected left) and it's located on the edge of SPGG; unless you intend to buy a Bentley or have specific business at the malls within walking distance, you're probably better off staying somewhere closer to the other parts of SPGG or closer to centro/barrio antiguo. The really annoying part for us though was with the breakfast buffet that is included. First, keep in mind coffee drinks are an extra charge (which isn't a big deal but is a bit surprising). Second, on the first day, we were turned away because my partner was wearing a sleeveless shirt. That would've been a bit of a nuisance but fine, since they're allowed to administer whatever dress code policy they want, except it was fine for women to wear sleeveless shirts and be seated. Literally the next guests they sat included a woman wearing a sleeveless shirt so it's just a sexist policy.

Very disappointed with the lack of honesty from hotel staff I stayed at Safi Valle recently and unfortunately left my iPad behind in the room after checking out. A few hours later, I realized the mistake and checked the Find My app — the iPad was still at the hotel and had plenty of battery left. Not long after, it was deliberately turned off, making it impossible to track. I immediately contacted the hotel, but they claimed they hadn’t found anything. The reality is that someone on staff clearly found the iPad, turned it off, and decided to keep it. This is extremely disappointing and reflects a serious lack of integrity. No matter how nice a hotel is, this kind of experience completely overshadows everything. If you value your belongings and expect basic honesty, I would strongly suggest reconsidering your stay here.
