Such a great location—and wonderful service. The location is green and residential, but walking distance to so many museums and downtown. Well serviced by tram, I preferred to stay in this quiet location and cancelled my reservation elsewhere to return. The staff is so accommodating! Emilia was fantastic. The hotel packed me a breakfast when they learned I had to leave on an early flight. Rooms are comfortable and light, breakfast is superb.
The staff was so nice and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. The beds are the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on. The hotel is extremely clean. My husband dropped something that rolled under the bed and thats always a huge concern in hotels, but under the bed was spotless, not even one dust bunny. Just a 10 minute walk to Karl Johans Gate in one direction and a 15 minute walk to Frogneparken in the other direction.
The hotel is an a great area of Oslo and has nice intimate atmosphere. The staff is helpful, the breakfast was ok. My biggest disappointed was the room: given I stayed 11 nights in attic room, half of the room completely unusable, roof cutting in a diagonal the room. There was literally no storage space in the little wardrobe for more than 2 nights, the bed mattress was way too soft and gave me back pain. And on top of this being the room, it was located next to some storage room where the staff were taking and putting back things every morning making the most terrible noise that of course got directly into the room and was the most unpleasant. I wouldn’t even give that room out, even more so for someone that booked 11 nights. So, while it has a charming look and service is ok, I slept poorly and felt trapped in that little uncomfortable room. Also, shower could use some refurbishing, while clean, the doors were not well functioning, though manageable. This was a business trip and by far the most uncomfortable room/hotel I stayed in Oslo.
