Sagecliffe Resort & Spa

Stayed here for one evening with a big work group. The location and scenery is stunning and offered great, unique views. Check in was quick but only had one employee to shuttle our guests to the rooms, some are a decent walk from the check in. Multiple people had issues with AC not working immediately and some it didn’t work at all, they even switched rooms and still had issues. One of our guests stayed in a room that the plumbing didn’t work, the toilet or showers couldn’t be used. The food is great and the staff is really helpful and friendly. Issac in particular, anything we needed he was right on it to take care of the issue or get someone to work on it. He truly made the best our issues we had.

We stayed at Sagecliffe 4/11/25 for a quick get away. When I made the reservation I ordered a bottle of bubbles to be in the room, it was not. Had to go to front desk and ask for it, no apology from staff. The location, Cliff House room and view are great. We knew it was still off season, but they did not seem very well prepared. The in room phone did not work. We had to go to the whiskey bar to order take out pizza which was supposed to be very good, the crust I suspect was frozen. There were no plates, silverware or paper towels. Breakfast you ordered at a walk up window. The woman there was awesome and breakfast was good. The place is old and in need of attention. Walking the trail down to the river was great. It is overpriced all in all. Bread and butter obviously is the amphitheater. Great location and view, however not a 4 star resort. They try, but fall short.

Unacceptable Service During Weekend Stay We stayed during a busy festival weekend, and the resort refused to open the pool bar or serve food on Monday, even though they were staffed and clearly operational. No warning, no reason—just “we’re not serving.” For a resort that markets itself to its superior service, this is was an absolute swing and a miss. We came to relax and spend money on-site, and they made that impossible. Won’t be returning at all. I do not recommend this place as they appear to be very discriminatory towards certain guests.
