Sailing Hotel & Spa

This is the ultimate boutique hotel, built with great personal taste and love, which you will feel the moment you step in. Located at the Orla Bardot, near the center of Buzios, where nice shops, and restaurants abound. Staff was extremely nice, attentive, and helpful, couldn't ask for anything more! Host Lia is so gracious and we enjoyed spending time with her. The rooms are beyond expectation, , very spacious, ours had a very spacious walking closet, a nice deck overlooking the water, and a sitting room, making our stay very pleasant and comfortable. Breakfast was the icing in the cake, sitting at the veranda, overlooking the beach, enjoying all local delicacies, fresh fruits and pastries, local cheeses, and much more! Great pool with deck overlooking the beach , quiet to relax seeping some nice cocktails... Right next to the hotel, there are several great restaurant options, and obviously, strolling along the orla Bardot at night was a nice way to finish the day . This hotel far exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be back!!!

A lovely old hotel that is extremely well taken care of. The staff are friendly and attentive + the location is great! The hotel has stairs leading up from the main street in front of the ocean so you can avoid the long walk around like some other hotels in the area. The food was delicious and the rooms are beautiful. To add to it all the owner, Lia, is such a lovely person. One morning we were late to go on a Scuba diving excursion and she drove us to save time! You can tell she puts in a lot of effort to ensure the hotel is in tip top shape. On the negative side, the hotel is older so you don't get a smart TV and the fridge in our room was a bit loud. However we felt the positives of this place far outweigh these minor annoyances. I can't recommend this hotel enough and if I go back to Búzios I'll be staying there for sure!

Nice hotel. Service has been good, location excellent and I’ve enjoyed the room. It’s a bit dated but charming at the same time. Shower was excellent. I would definitely come back. I wrote this review after the first day. The second day I was woken up at 9:00 with construction work next to my room. During my shower the hot water stopped working. I went to see the receptionist to ask to speak to the manager. The receptionist spoke to the owner and the manager and they refused to speak to me. I am absolutely appalled at the level of service and the interruptions. Who does construction work on a Sunday morning without notifying the guests. Who switches off the hot water in the morning? Breakfast was pleasant. Look, if you have low standards then I think the hotel is good. If you think they deserve their 5 star rating then I would avoid. Buzios has many other good options. I worked in hospitality in my youth and a manger that refuses to speak to an unhappy customer should probably get some training and an explanation in the job role.
