SALA Samui Chaweng Beach Resort

During our trip to Thailand, we spent a week's beach holiday at the hotel. The service was very good and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The room, which had its own secluded pool, was very well furnished. The bathroom and dressing area took up a large part of the room. The breakfast buffet was very extensive and the daily menu offered additional delicious options. There were always enough sun loungers available on the beach. Unfortunately, some guests used the pool as a permanent hangout, where they also consumed snacks and drinks and left the leftovers at the edge of the pool.

Just coming upto the end of our 10 ngt stay in Koh Samui which has been wonderful. Not only is the island such a beautiful place to be but the stay in the resort has been fantastic. The staff here are respectful, diligent, hard working, extremely polite and quick to respond to requests. I know Thai people are very warm welcoming, kind people and the staff here reflect this well. Everyone from the maids to restaurant & bar staff, manager's etc have been extremely tentative and always greet you with a smile. My wife and i have had the pleasure of talking to Erwin on a couple of occasions when weve been down on the beach, he always takes the time to talk to people, asks how they are and how the stay is. This shows good customer service/relations and good leadership which shines from his staff. Our room is located on the garden side, we had a pool villa which was beautiful. Having a private pool to ourselves meant we could sunbathe swim and cool off when we wanted day or night. We never even used the communial pool which was also beautiful. Everything was clean and tidy, glass shower room and bath was perfect, all the toiletries were supplied too which were more than we need as we had brough half of our own bathroom haha. The AC, fridge, tea making facilities all were great and with the TV we could plug in our own Fire Stick. The maids kept everything spotless and the pool attendants were on hand at request when debris/leaves got into our pool. The service just for our room was outstanding! Its location on Chaweng Beach is perfect, queiter yet still has shops (Tops Daily, coffee shop, pharmacy) restaurants, massage and things you need just on the road either side. Its only a 1km walk (or short songthaews, taxi trucks ride) to main beach road where its livelier with lots of shops eateries and clubs. Getting from here to other parts of the island is easy too using a taxi and transfer to the airport is under 10 mins. You can hear the planes taking off and landing but they stop at night (so dont worry about that) There is plenty to do around here and as always, whether your going on a trip or staying by the resort, the Thai people are all very welcoming and helpful. They will help you get too wherever you need to goto. Some of the reviews have mentions bugs or creatures, but you have to remember, there is nature all around us. Yes there are flies, bugs, lizards, snails or snakes but they will move around their natural habitat and shrubs. We didnt have any issues inside our villa, only if youre god level, could you control animals or beasts so bear that in mind, its no fault of hotels or resorts. All in all, we wish we didnt have to go home, but sadly, its our last full night here, and weve made some great memories, this resort for me has only added to such a fantastic experience.

Such an amazing resort. The staff are wonderful. The resort is beautiful with thoughtful touches. I’d recommend both The Tent and The Sexy Fish for dinner. We had breakfast included which was delicious and accommodated all dietary requirements. The two pools are lovely and there are plentiful lounges for all. The beach is great, better on a full tide. Happy hour at the beach bar was well utilised. We can’t wait to come back.
