Fantastic hotel and staff are amazing. The view is breathtaking highly recommended Their restaurant is not the best but lots nearby if you stroll down the beach or short drive The hill is very steep not for a beginner on a bike but they have golf karts and will collect you so don't let it put you off the view is worth it
Had a great 4 night stay at salad buri resort. It’s a charming traditional looking resort and is mostly in a good state of repair. Some small details could be modernised or fixed up, but they don’t affect the overall guest experience. The rooms are comfortable and of good size and the pool area is lovely. A good selection of food at the restaurant also. Staff are friendly and nothing negative to say - however if you have mobility issues the hills and steps to access the accommodation areas may pose a risk or problem. The resort has a golf buggy and I am sure they would help if needed at any time, but consider this before booking if you have special access or mobility requirements.
My wife booked this resort and I started looking at the reviews while we travelled up here. With a 3.6 rating at the time of writing I wasn’t top excited. But to be honest I’m positively surprised. Rooms are good. House keeping is also good. And the pool is also nice. What stands out though is the poor maintenance of the place. There’s a bunch of stuff around the place that’s broken and not repaired. Really simple stuff like the decking on the bridge across the lely pond, broken rood tiles, broken decking at the pool. Also stuff that was left from the day before like socks, small pieces of packaging material weren’t cleaned up the day after. Because the resort is at the bottom of the hill you always need to order a cab to the resort. The reception will take care of this, but basic rate is quite steep if you compare it to some of the local options. You’re better off with ordering on of the local cabs on the island. Overall my conclusion is that the owner of the place is not actively managing it. Staff is doing what is expected from them, but they miss guidance on proper hotel management. Another downside, that would really make it a plus and is an easy fix is the connection between the restaurant and the resort. Somehow you can’t put your restaurant bill on your resort account. That means each day you need to pay for your restaurant bill, they even chase you down late in the evening in your room if you accidentally forget. Not cool. Would I come again? Maybe.. but then things should change. The bay however is stunning, isn’t that what it’s all about?
