Have been there couple of times with my dad , we checked out the restaurant inside the hotel. Have been blessed with great service from miss Timea ,we have ciorba de burta . God bless ! JESUS IS KING !
A very comfortable and luxurious hotel - I stayed in the newly renovated part. A large and renovated room, with a refurbished bathroom. I suggest taking a look at the furniture - especially the headboard of the bed, the faux leather is crumbling. I didn't use the spa - supposedly it's the main attraction of the place!
We were informed 2 days before arriving that the pool will be closed for planned maintenance for the whole duration of our stay... One of the main reasons we chose this place was the pool so that was unfair that we were informed too late to cancel and book a different place. It was planned maintenance so they knew in advance and could have informed us sooner but I suspect they chose not to for fear of losing customers. No compensation whatsoever was offered and I heard more excuses/attempts to justify rather than apologies. From the menu, the soups are good but the second course options quite bland and one of the more expensive items I chose one evening (pork cutlet) was of dubious quality and taste. Plate arrangement random and no sauce so just dry badly tasting pieces of meat then separately a piece of polenta that tasted like sand and 2 pieces of white cheese of cheap quality. Unjustified price for sure. I would say the safest option is the kids menu options like schnitzel and fires. I will say the staff was very friendly and nice with us and our small kid especially, that is really one of the very few good things about the place. Location is also good, 10 minutes walk from the old entrance of the mine and 20 minutes from the small city centre. The parking is outside of the hotel premises, under some tall trees full of tens of crows. So you will probably find some nice bird souvenirs on the car in the morning. All on all, we cannot establish this place as our regular family spot for holidays in Turda unfortunately... We will try to find another place next time.
