The warm, wooden feel of this hotel matches perfectly with its location next to a large tropical forest. By car, you can go to visit the beautiful El Limon waterfall nearby. The hotel is also just a few minutes from the downtown of Las Terrenas and the beach. For us, it's a perfect 5 out of 5.
Very stylishly designed and well looked after hotel. Yummy food. Friendly and helpful staff. The pool is gorgeous, but the pool cleaning seems to be a challenge sometimes (on two days out of 5, the water had a milky colour, so PH balance wasn’t right).
Pros - it’s in a nice secluded spot away from crazy crowds which affords a nice relaxing stay. Cons - pretty much everything else. AC in the room was broken and they wouldn’t fix it. Wifi was not working at the time. Bathrooms smelled of sewer gas but that’s most likely because of deficient Dominican building codes. The food is okay on a mostly seafood heavy menu.
