Samaria Hotel

Outstanding. Easily recommendable. Great location only a short walk to old town and the harbor. Not a far drive from the airport. At least as of the time of writing (2025) everything feels very new and in great condition. Air conditioning works well and quietly, even in the middle of summer. Better than other places I've stayed in Europe. Great staff, very friendly. The on-site pool is a nice break from the heat after being out and about all day, and you can also have some food and drinks out there as well. Honestly no complaints. I'd happily stay here again.

It was amazing. I went with my mother and grandparents. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. The pool area is lovely. The location is brilliant. You are right infront of a bus station, near the old town, near all the shops and lovely reastrunts. Reminder that on a Sunday the pool opens at 11. You also sometimes get complimentary drinks when you arrive.

We have just returned home from a two week holiday in Chania. The Samaria Hotel was great! The location was perfect, we could walk into the Old Town/Harbour in 10 mins. The buses were very handy. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice The swimming pool was small for the size of the hotel, but we were okay with this. The one thing we did not like was t he shower. Although the shower was hot and powerful, it wasn't wall mounted at a high level in the bath, which made it hard to shower without splashing water everywhere. The room itself was clean and comfortable. We would return if we came back to Chania.
