This hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed at. Beautiful rooms, right by the beach, you can hear the ocean from your bed! Amazing service, thanks Faafetai for your excellent customer service and assisting us with a room change and when my husband hurt his knee. Breakfast buffet is delicious with many options and the dinner menu is excellent. We dined in on a few occasions and ordered room service too. Quality hotel, quality service, we will be back for sure!

Booked Sheraton Beach Resort because of proximity to airport and supposed five star accolade. Deeply disappointing experience all round. I needed to be up at 4am for a flight. Unfortunately, I was kept awake for over three hours (until after midnight) by the pounding bass of music from a nearby nightclub. I tried to request earplugs via the Marriott app or WhatsApp, but there was absolutely no response, even by the time of checkout. When I went to reception in person, they did not have any earplugs and offered no solution like an alternative room. The receptionist couldn’t care less. I arrived to check out at 5am and was kept waiting almost 15 minutes due to a tediously slow system used to check someone out in front. Despite being there at 5am, the takeaway breakfast (booked for 5:15am) wasn’t ready until 5:30am, just as our airport shuttles were leaving. No apology or care offered whatsoever. The room itself was decent but well worn, with chipped/marked furnishings. Hotel grounds were grubby and urgently need renovation, with two areas out of bounds and left to rot. All in all, a completely unacceptable for a Sheraton/Marriott property that is supposedly five stars.

We didn’t stay this time so can’t comment on the rooms. Stayed years ago and thought we would come back for a swim and some food. The grounds haven’t changed a bit, except for looking very run down and dated. We planned to have some drinks and lunch but the prices made our eyes water. $45/$50 per cocktail, a bowl of nachos $48. We decided on a couple of bowls of chips for a snack until we got back to our resort in Apia. It seems these guys are out pricing themselves, which is a shame. Had they been more reasonable we would have sat at the pool bar for a few drinks and then had a proper meal, but at almost $100 per person for lunch we couldn’t justify it. Fries took a long time to arrive, the restaurant was quiet. The staff were attentive and helpful.
