Samora Luxury Resort

Stayed here last week with my son. The staff and property were amazing. One evening my son had a fever, and they were able to get medicine dropped off quickly. They went above and beyond to accommodate us while on our trip. Will be back soon!

Had a drink here for my son’s wedding. Amazing place. Such a vibe. A friend was staying their and their room was adorable, spacious and air conditioned.

Samora Luxury Resort benefits from a beautiful location and a sense of privacy, which initially gives the impression of luxury. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the expectations that come with the high price point (i.e. $450 USD per night). Several services and amenities are poorly maintained. Water faucets did not work properly, there was a lack of proper beach towels, and many of the lounge chairs were in poor condition. Overall, the resort gave the impression that it is in need of a major upgrade. The style of the property is bohemian, which could be appealing, but the details fell short. The quality of the bed sheets, towels, and food ($30 to $50 USD per item) was below what one would expect for a resort of this cost. These missing elements took away from what could otherwise be a relaxing and memorable stay. In short, while the setting itself is beautiful and we had a wonderful time, the lack of upkeep and the lower quality of essential amenities make the resort feel overpriced, especially for a country like Mexico 🇲🇽. With significant improvements, Samora could truly live up to its potential, but as it stands now, it does not deliver the level of luxury that it advertises.
