Great location, but older facility with rooms showing age. Had to switch rooms as no plug would hold cord for laptop. Also rooftop bar is wonderful, especially for game day as can overlook ball park. However, it seems like my beer, same type, ranged from $11 to $16 depending on what the waitress decided to charge me. Food had to be ordered, which was not too bad. Overall would stay at another Marriott which are newer and only a couple of blocks away.
The location of this hotel was amazing. They have a rooftop bar, which was very cool as well. Seeing the views from up there was really nice. Hotel staff were great as well. Room was very basic. No microwave or mini fridge in the room. No pool either. You can hear the music upstairs at nighttime because the walls are thin. Yes, we heard our neighbors conversation as well. Water pressure from the shower is non existent. I’ve stayed in better, and stayed in worse, so I’ll rate it very mid!
2 stars deducted: 1 for a cigarette smoke smelled room and would not move us to another room for our 3 night stay. 1 for the rooms being in terrible beat down condition. The location can't be beat and the staff were all super friendly. The rooftop Altitude bar and view were unbeatable. The lounge for elite members was well stocked and staff again incredibly accommodating. Unfortunately this hotel needs a complete renovation. The rooms are very outdated and beaten down. The room smelled terribly of cigarette smoke and I am allergic and had to work from there during the day. The cleaning staff came in to spray some concentrated liquid in the corners of the room each day but it was a very temporary fix. Thankfully I could crack the windows which was a help. The front desk told me that there were no other rooms to move us to for our 3 night stay so we had a long period of suffering. One of the lights in the bathroom was burned out. The AC made a strong noise and seemed a bit moldy. All of this while paying $400 per night plus tax. Consider the many many other Marriott branded/affiliated hotels in the area. I know I will next time.
