San Want Hotel

The hotel has a very good location where buying stuff and eating are both convenient. It is near to a subway station as well as the underground shopping area. The room is not very roomy but big enough. Inside it is quiet regardless of the heavy traffic and crowd outside. Its price is fine in this busy area of the city. By the way, the bakery downstairs is great!

We recently stayed in the hotel for 2 nights, we had very positive experiences! Especially regarding their customer service, all the staffs are very attentive and friendly to help us makes us feel like VIP there, the following pros and cons for travelers who want to stay there in the future: Pros: 1. Great location! the hotel is literally next to the metro station with numerous restaurants and shopping stores, it is convenient for travelers who want to explore the city. 2. Excellent customer service! From the moment we arrived the hotel, 5 staffs came to help us with luggages, checking in, moving suitcases to our room, explaining everything, every time we call for something they always arrive so quickly! I am truly amazed by their 5 stars hotel service! And the staffs there understand English perfectly and respond quickly. 3. Spacious and clean room, we booked a room with 2 queen size bed, the room is very big and clean with all the necessary supplie. The beds are very comfortable! The room is very quiet, we had very good night sleep! 4. Great foods! We were offered complimentary breakfast, and it was very delicious! 5. Reasonable price! In the uptown location the price is very reasonable. Cons: Before I booked the hotel, some of the reviews said the hotel is old and outdated, I was kinda concerned but it turned out was nothing, my only complain is we couldn’t find too many outlets to charge our devices. Overall, I will definitely go back to the hotel again! But one of the staffs told me that the hotel will be closed down for renovations later this year, hopefully future travelers can have the chance to enjoy the 5 star hotel service before the renovation! It's a nice hotel with hospitable staff. Most of them are very friendly except for rare few who are less able to help. They tend to go the extra miles to guide and make guests feel good. Granted it's not new but it is overall clean and pleasant. It's location is so good for access to Taipei MRT. One of the access is just outside hotel lobby.
