Sanctuary Beach Resort

Expensive but worth it - had the deluxe room with ocean views. Slept like a baby with the balcony door opened a crack to hear the sound of the ocean waves. Direct access to beach. Salt Wood Kitchen is divine, Andrew and Shannon are the best waiters there IMO. We went every night and will be back for sure.

The concept is lovely however it should not be billed as a Sanctuary. The walls are incredibly thin. I don't know what the upstairs folks were doing but it sounded like elephants stomping around. Breakfast arrived cold and without utensils. I'm a special needs mom and was looking forward to some quiet... Hot tub is nice. The dunes are beautiful. The room itself is also very nice.

We booked this resort since we wanted a place that is fun for us and our pet. Booking experience: I reached out to their call centre to book the the place for the weekend. The things that were confirmed in the call did not exist. My name and email was added incorrectly so did not receive confirmation for the booking. Great staff: At the resort, the staff is very kind and friendly. Room: For the price we paid the room was small but view from the room was great since we got the ocean view. It is quite chilly here outside so plan accordingly. There is a fireplace in the room which is great. Direct access to beach and great property to walk around. There are multiple activities but you need to book them much in advance so plan accordingly. Excellent spa service. Food: We ordered breakfast that had multiple options but the quantity for some items is very less and was not filling. Lunch and dinner were also not great and at times we ended up eating the sides only. Not many vegetarian options so you will same dish all the days you stay there. Restaurant staff was friendly. Pet friendly: Great place for pets. They have a pet stick library which is well stocked. Also, provided a pet bowl too! :) Beach is pet friendly too so our pet had a lot of fun. Restaurant provides a pet menu too! Overall, I do not feel it is worth the money and would expect lot more for the price we paid.
