Sanctuary South Beach

For South Beach, this place is exceptional for the price! The room was clean and housekeeping did an excellent job. Air conditioning was a little loud but kept the room very cool and comfortable. Continental breakfast was the usual but fine. Pool is small but a unique and relaxing layout. Restaurant was excellent. Food was great and service was remarkable for Miami Beach. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. I have stayed in Miami Beach many times and this place is a hidden gem at this price point. Excellent location. Will definitely return next trip. Highly recommend!

I went on a road trip in July of 2013 and ended up in South Beach. With no place to stay I looked around and ended up choosing to stay at the Sanctuary because it sounded like a good deal, and it was! I was there for three nights, and I had no troubles throughout the stay, the staff is professional and helpful. Michael at the front desk there is also very helpful and professional. For what I payed the room was exceptional, and housekeeping does a very good job too. I can't complain at all about the location either, you can walk to just about anywhere you'd need to go on vacation in under 10 minutes, and the beach is just around the block. Overall I loved it and I will more than likely come back when I go back to south beach!

Do not stay here...EVER... unless you enjoy being scammed. A group of friends and I thought we rented a 3 bedroom apartment that slept 6. What we actually got was a studio apartment that had no doors; a partition to separate the 1st 2 "bedrooms" that didn't have room for the beds or suitcases or people for that matter; the 3rd bedroom had half of a curtain to have some sort of privacy. The patio door in the 3rd bedroom didn't lock and only had a rotten wooden bar to keep the door closed. The bathroom was moldy and had cobwebs everywhere. The shower handle was missing, the fan didn't work, you can see into the bathroom from the 3rd bedroom and the sink was clogged and the faucet handle was broken. The owners kept adding additional charges leading up to check-in. We were charged an additional $800 2 days before flying in and they threatened to cancel the reservation if we didn't pay. The owners did NOT replenish any service items like coffee, toilet paper, paper towels. Whatever we used up had to be replenished on our own. This was completely disgusting and had buckling ceilings with water stains. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! Oh and there is no pool or any other amenities as advertised!!!!!
