Island Inn is a beautiful property that is worth the stay. The staff are helpful and have thought of everything (you can easily rent bikes, paddle boards and kayaks on property - they even have bug spray if you need it!). The room we received was almost identical to the pictures online and was in pristine condition when we arrived. Clean and fresh. The room was comfortable and well appointed with everything we needed and more. We were able to cook a few simple meals in the kitchen, and it was so nice to have water and ice in the full sized fridge during our stay. The water pressure on the shower was strong, and the AC was quiet instead of a loud roaring unit like in so many beach hotels. Little extras like that really make a beach stay that much more comfortable. Island Inn is now in our list to come back to again and again!

Having spent my childhood summer's on the Island and properties there since 1980, the post-hurricane recovery appears to be well underway and the island is coming back to life. This hotel was phenomenal. Straight line-of-sight to the beach, large rooms and patios, and private stairs down to beach level, it felt like a private island. The staff was very accommodating, the rooms were clean, the outside common areas were clean, and the overall experience was amazing. Will be going back!

I took my family the weekend of August 8 to the Sanibel Island area. We originally checked into another hotel that was just before the bridge that connected us to the island. It was such a horrible experience, the room was dark, beds were poor quality, and I just couldn’t see myself saying there for another night with my family. Luckily, I was able to secure a room at Sanibel Inn for the remaining half of our stay. What an incredible difference, like night and day! Clean, welcoming, beautiful access to the gulf. Despite our stay falling a rainy weekend, we made the most of it. We arrived hours before our allotted check-in time, but Ms. Glory was so kind enough to expedite the cleaning service of the room, so we were able to check in a couple of hours earlier. My only regret is not having booked this resort for the original duration of our vacation. I would definitely like to return to this destination on a sunny weekend, and if so, then this will be my go-to place. Thank you so much to the warm and welcoming staff!
