Sandhouse Hotel

I stayed here for two nights. Overall it was terrific. Our room was gorgeous with a lovely sitting room overlooking the huge beach outside. The hotel is lovely with lots of space to sit and socialise. There's a bar and restaurant. Food was good and reasonably priced. The staff were all lovely and working very hard. It's not cheap to stay here but I think it was worth it and I would go back again.

We chose this hotel, totally at random and we are so glad we did. It must be Donegal’s best kept secret! The location on the beach was amazing - we had fantastic weather, but we presume in bad weather, the sea views would be very dramatic too. As far as the hotel itself, it is guest-only restaurant. Whilst eating there for two breakfasts and two dinners, we became very aware of how many fellow-guests were return people. We also heard staff welcoming people back, hence showing us staff are happy staying as well as guests returning. We can understand this. It is an old fashioned top-class hotel. The decor was beautiful. The food was delicious and well priced. We did a BnB package, but understand you can also do a dinner-bed-breakfast package. We had a lovely romantic four-poster room on the third floor, facing the sea. Compared to the attention and care of staff at other hotels we’ve stayed at on our Ireland trip, this surpasses them all! If we ever came back, we would definitely stay again.

Marine therapies was just brilliant, great value and best massage I've ever had! Noreen was fantastic and we had a great time. Hotel is beautiful too
