Sandman Signature Newcastle Hotel

We chose to stay here as a family member was having their wedding reception at Shearers bar across the road so it was perfect for that. Staff were welcoming and helpful, hotel & room were nice & clean. Loved the option of being able to use blackout blinds. Would definitely recommend & would stay again. Overall a brilliant stay.

We stayed here for the game, and if you're a Newcastle fan, the view truly couldn't get any better! ⚽🏟️ However, we weren’t informed in advance that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so walking through the Homeport area, we could hear some construction — though thankfully, it wasn’t noticeable once inside the room. The room itself was quite small, and cleanliness could be improved, especially in the bathroom. 🧼 The soap dispensers were nearly empty in the shower and completely empty at the sink, which isn’t ideal when you're paying a premium rate. A bit more attention to detail would go a long way. On the positive side, breakfast was excellent! 🍳🥐 The restaurant is spacious so it never felt too crowded, and the staff were friendly and kept everything well stocked. There was a good variety — full English, yoghurts, cold meats, fruits, pastries, and breads. 🍓🥓 Note: there’s no on-site parking. We were advised to use Q-Park, just a 3-minute walk away, but it costs £22 per night, which adds up on top of the room rate. 🚗💸 Overall, a good stay with fantastic location and breakfast — just a few areas that could use some improvement.

I had higher expectations of this hotel since its label as a 4 star hotel. First, it has no front loading/ dropping zone so you have to walk from a nearby garage with your belongings and that’s very inconvenient. Later we realized that there is a back entrance, but very confusing to access with a car since you are in a sidewalk style road. Then the room hallway looked very sketchy with the pink neon light. The room itself has no AC so we had a fan. We were given a kitchenette and that was helpful. However, I wouldn’t come back to this hotel. Is across the street of the Newcastle stadium, but we didn’t have that view. Not worth the price for the night
