Sandos Caracol Nature Resort & Water Park All Inclusive

Our stay at Hotel Sandor was a truly great experience. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. One of the highlights was the opportunity to rent a boat – it allowed us to enjoy a beautiful day on the water. A special thank you goes to Katherine, who assisted us with everything and was incredibly kind and professional. Overall, we felt very welcome and would love to come back again!

This resort is definitely well balanced and great for a family friendly experience. The resort is pretty big with lots of things to explore. There’s a water park, bike path, segway path, small boat ride, two cenote ( one with a tour guide and life vest which is located right behind the lobby and the other is hidden for others that would love to explore and can SWIM!!) They do have a kids center as well. Lobby. It’s hot!!! Check in is 3pm unless you made arrangements or paid for earlier check in. Be prepared to wait. The check in process should be more efficient. Once everything is complete you will get your band and you can explore while you wait. If you can bring your own beach towel, do so. $50 for a lost card or towel is a bit outrageous. Food. The food was amazing. We enjoyed everything. The only downside to the various restaurants was reservations. You only get a certain amount based on how long you stay. Which is annoying because we wanted to try everything. My advice would be to make those reservations the day you get there. Staff. The staff was amazing very professional and friendly. Big shout out to Ericka for my massage. She was amazing and the sweetest ever. Raul, Marco, and Rico you guys were the most humble and enthusiastic representatives. The entertainment was cool. Could be better in terms of quantity not quality. The beach is pretty small and not breathtaking. Overall great experience!

This resort is a SCAM ! A BIG SCAM!!! They are very unprofessional and unresponsive to any issue. In the restaurants, it was almost always impossible to make the reservation! Basically you just keep eating in the buffet ! You”re assigned a Rep can help you but no guarantees to get a table especially for large parties. A temporary market comes into the resort like twice a week at night. I was trying to have something special and I requested a custom jewelry (necklace) and the guy told me to pay which I did in cash. The vendor (who’s name is Eduardo Guevara) and another representative from the resort (who’s name I don’t remember) me to trust in their word. I did because supposedly all vendors have a license that allows them to sell art inside the resort. He said it would take him 1hr to complete the custom necklace then he would take it to the front concierge desk. He also provided me with his personal WhatsApp number. But he never brought it to the front lobby desk. I texts him and he said he was not able to complete in that hours because he had many orders that night. Then he promised he would work on it over night and bring it to the front desk first thing in the morning before our noon check out time. Again, he did not turn it and. There was nothing left under my name or room number. During my check out I informed the front desk and concierge desk and they did nothing to help me. They kept sending me to a different line. But the manager was not there in site assist us in the urgent matter. The vendor no longer answers our texts or phone calls but the concierge lady told us that it’s true. That all their vendors have a special arrangement with the resort and have to be approved. We have a picture of this thief. Another issue we had was… we purchased tickets to Coco Bongo (a popular theater show in Playa) directly with a resort rep. We were a party of 9 and we paid a lathe fee to get premium tickets that would include a table inside. When we arrived at Coco Bongo the guy at the door told us our tickets did not include a table. SCAM!!!!! Everything was a nightmare! Go somewhere else and enjoy your vacation.
