Sandpiper Beach 505

The rooms had both modern and functional updates that met all of our expectations and needs. My daughter and I were looking for a relaxing, low key beach adventure. This spot was perfect. The rooms would have been tight for a family with lots of stuff, but we didn't spend much time in the room! We came for the beach, pool, and beauty of the property and slept great on the new mattresses. The native beach grasses and established palm trees made for a beautiful setting. The hammocks had enough shade to make for a great nap and calm place to read. The staff was great and made sure there were always towels available and chairs at the beach. We liked the central location so we could get to either side of the island in about 15 minutes. It was close to the grocery store and a variety of dining options. The best burger we have had in a long time was the restaurant on site. It was fantastic! They had some nice grab-and-go options also for breakfast and snacks. Overall, a great property to enjoy being outdoors! We would stay again.

Great location. Close to restaurants and shops. The beach is a stone throw away. The pool is beautiful. Very nice pool bar/restaurant. Room was clean. Nice ambiance overall. The only improvement to the room would be a different style nightlight. The nightlight cannot be turned off or dimmed and illuminated the room quite brightly. Bed and pillows a bit hard. Upon check-in, was not informed of amenities. Did not know beach chairs and towels were provided. Did not know there was an on site restaurant, pool hours, bike rentals available, etc. Not a big deal, but would have been good to know.

I wanted so much to love this hotel. The first time we came in April it was a nice experience. The room kind of smelled weird. We are here again over the 8/8 weekend and our room is not what I had hoped for. From prestained sheets, holey blankets, weird stuff on the floor it just wasn't the experience I hoped to have for my birthday. We made the best of it but we probably won't come back. Update: I am pretty certain these might actually be bed bug bites and not noseeums. I didn't want to shave and accidently nick them but yeah I would look at staying somewhere else
