Staff friendlier and more helpful than I've ever encountered in a hotel in the US. The maids are great, always ready to go above and beyond. As for the front desk folks, even though I speak fluent Portuguese, I hadn't been to Brazil in more than 40 years and wasn't sure how some things worked. They had great suggestions to help me with occasional difficulties. The hotel is in a part of town that's quite safe yet close to everything you need.
The hotel is excellent and rooms but service is not so good because there I was pay for some water. normally i never ever pay for water in any hotel.
I have stayed here multiple times over the last two years and each time it was 5 star review. But this time we got a room (723) with a lot of mold and couldn't change since the hotel was full. Maybe things have gone downhill now. Paying 430brl/night for quadruple room to stay with 2 kids and getting room with mold is unacceptable. Normally i would leave 1 star rating for this type of experience but giving 2 star since our past stays here were fantastic.
