We had a wonderful vacation! The food was excellent, and the service was absolutely fantastic – the staff was always friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and beautifully maintained, with housekeeping coming in every day. Everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!
Fantastic hotel! It looks like Sandy Beach has been completely renovated, and the results are excellent. The food was very good, especially considering it was a buffet – there was a great variety and everything tasted fresh. The service was also top-notch. Our plates were cleared promptly in the dining area, and our room was always kept very clean. What really stood out was the staff; everyone we encountered was incredibly attentive, friendly, and always willing to help. Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing holiday here. For the quality of the hotel and the level of service, we felt it was excellent value for money. We would definitely recommend Sandy Beach and hope to return in the future!
The hotel grounds, food, and beach are all lovely. The food was varied and genuinely tasty, and the pools and gym were decent (though the gym really needs air con). Resort cats were adorable, and we appreciated being able to use the all inclusive after checkout. The beach is beautiful, and there are some lovely local spots nearby like the Tiki Bar and Marmari Go-Kart track. However, the atmosphere wasn’t the most welcoming. The hotel clearly caters to German/Scandi guests, and as a British couple, we felt a bit out of place. Some staff were noticeably colder, and we were often served last at the bar. Also, a travelling photo team, welcomed in by the hotel, pressured us to buy printed photos after claiming there was no obligation – not what you’d expect from a hotel of this standard. If you’re German or Scandinavian, you’ll likely feel right at home here. We later found out from a local that British holidaymakers tend to stay in Tigaki rather than Marmari, as the areas cater to different nationalities — and apparently, Brits aren’t always the most warmly received in Marmari! I was unaware of this divide in Kos before travelling.
