This was a quick getaway with my best friend. I absolutely enjoyed the laid back vibes and friendly staff. Checking in was so welcoming. Totally enjoyed the sunset and beautiful clean beach. I was a little disappointed on the day of check out as it took over a hour to have breakfast served. Despite that, I will definitely return for a good time.
I have mix emotions about this location, we stayed in the middle of July 2025, our room was on the second floor. #1 IT'S NOT AN ALL INCLUSIVE HOTEL!! They do have continental breakfast which is the only item that is free, its fruits, juice and toast. It was definitely quiet at this location. I didn't see that many guests roaming around while i was there for the 5 days. The beach is a few steps away at this resort which is convenient. 7 mile beach is beautiful with clear water. As you go out onto the beach there are excursions activities available from the locals, such horseback riding, paragliding, glass bottom boat rides, and many others. I did get approach by a few people sellings items but once you say no or not interested, they usually walk away without any issues. They do offer beach towels on the resort, along with beach umbrella and chair. The exterior of the resort was clean and housekeeping came every morning to clean the room. there is no party activities or event at this particular resort so if you are looking to get "turn up" This is not the spot. The people who works here are friendly and respectful. There is always someone/security at the front gate that monitors who comes in and leave. We didn't try their restaurant menus, we ate at a local jamaican restaurant accross the street, the food accross the street was definitely authentic and good. The room had a small refrigerator, we had double beds, the bed wasn't that comfortable, we had a flat screen TV but we weren't able watch any local TV for whatever reason, so we just connected our Netflix from our cellphone to the TV and watched movies from it. The bathroom sink area appeared new and functional, the shower area appeared new and functional, but I noticed on various times, the hot water wasn't hot it was sometimes luke warm. The toilet apparently was missing a bolt, because when I sat on it, it made clunk noise. Our room had a balcony which was cool, but it wasn't facing the ocean. The a/c worked and the room had a ceiling fan. The sheets appeared clean. There wasn't any deadbolt on the entrance door when you closed the door to the room. There is no elevator, well I didn't see any.
Use to love this place couldn't say a bad word previously, but it has really gone downhill since my last visit in 2021. Everything from the free little breakfast to my shower not getting hot or having pressure and nothing says romance like a toilet that doesn't flush.... This kind of soured my whole time at Sandy Haven. At breakfast it was outrageously priced at Bongos I just never went because that didn't post prices therefore your just telling me beforehand that it costs tooooo much. All in all this is in the center of 7 Mile beach Negril so I had fun just not at Sandy Haven. Won't be back next year.
