Sansara Surf and Yoga Resort Retreat

Sansara is truly a hospice of heaven. From the moment we arrived in Cambutal, we were greeted with warm smiles and a peaceful energy that wrapped around us like a hug. The town was quiet in the most perfect, grounding way. Every single employee at Sansara went above and beyond—so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive to every need. The resort itself is out of this world. Every detail, from the stunning interior design to the immaculately kept landscape, was next-level. The food wasn’t just a meal—it was a work of art. And waking up to the ocean just steps from our bed? Unforgettable. We came during rainy season and were pleasantly surprised with sunny skies and hardly any people—like we had our own private paradise. Yes, the drive from the airport is long, but once you're here, you understand why. It's worth every mile. Ricardo and Leiah were the most incredible surf instructors—patient, passionate, and kind. The yoga shala felt truly sacred, with energy you could feel in your bones. One of our favorite highlights was a boat ride with Brian—sea turtles, dolphins, whales, and a magical waterfall hike to top it off. A week of pure bliss. What an amazing experience, staff were wonderful, rooms were beautiful and comfortable, food was delicious. The location was incredible, very far from the city, approximately 7 hour bus ride from Panama City. The resort is a bit pricey when it comes to add ons, such as massage and facials, but it is to be expected when it comes to wellness and resort retreats. The beds were super cozy and the bathrooms were very spacious. We were a quick walk to the beach and the resort had everything you needed for a quick disconnect from city life. The staff were truly so kind and thoughtful, very understanding and accommodating. I would highly recommend this retreat to other friends!

This is a little piece of paradise! I am sad to write this review, as I wish we could keep this place a secret, but this place and the people deserve it. Janel and Mike go above and beyond to share their slice of paradise and make you feel so welcomed. The staff is authentic and exceptional 👌🏻 What really impressed me is the food, 5 stars all the way. Not to mention the many surf breaks for all tides and surfing abilities.
