Santa Chiara Suite Hotel & Spa Lecce

This hotel was the only disappointment of our trip to Italy. The location is very good but we did not appreciate a few details: the young guy at the reception was not very nice or helpful specially when we asked normal guidance like where to eat, a city map, etc. and he had the same attitude day after day. The room (305) did not have enough electric outlets, there was a water leakage in the bathroom and in addition it was externally hot even during March!! There is not windows except for two up in the ceiling but when you open them, mosquitos come in. Simple advise: install “zanzeriere”. We did not sleep well and that can ruin any visit.

Disappointing service, facilities and level of cleanliness. 1. We requested two key cards for our room but the hotel was unable to provide these and the male receptionist (David P) who dealt with our request was rude, unhelpful and dismissive. 2. The safe in our room did not work. 3. Two of the lights in our room did not work. 4. The bathroom was grubby. 5. The curtains in the bedroom could not be drawn to cover the windows fully.

My bed had mold as well as the curtains. The air conditioner barely works. The bathroom is tricky. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was poor. Location is perfect. Parking is tricky but once you figure it out is okay. You cannot access the hotel by car tho so expect to carry your bags a couple of blocks.
