Santa Cruz Village Hotel

The rooms were decent – clean and functional. Breakfasts were good, but unfortunately, dinners fell a bit short of my expectations. The dishes were dry, likely kept on the heat for too long, which caused them to lose their flavor. However, the hotel staff was absolutely wonderful – friendly, attentive, and very helpful. What truly won our hearts, though, happened on the day of our checkout: we had left a backpack with our other luggage in the room. When we returned to wait for our transfer, we realized the backpack was missing. The receptionist immediately took action – making phone calls and launching a search. Thanks to his dedication, the backpack was quickly found and brought back to us by taxi. Because of such outstanding service and care, we are happy to give a full 5-star rating, even though initially, I would have rated the stay somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. Thank you!

This review is to appreciate the great service of this hotel. Due to an error in booking.com I first booked different hotel in the city of Machico, got error message after paymet processing step that room is no longer available, which made me book this hotel Santa Cruz Village, resulting with 2 bookings for the same day. I explained the issue caused by booking.com to both hotels asking to make excamption for free cancellation, Santa Cruz Village understood and allowed the free cancel, while the hotel in Machico didn't qlthough I went there personally to ask, as I been there 2 nights ago

Wonderful and helpful staff. They were always friendly and helped us with some reccomendations on what to do. Also very clean and nice room. There is some noise from the highway closeby but not too bad.
