Santa Marta Marriott Resort Playa Dormida

First off! Nicole! She is the best! She’s a sweet heart and the first person that greets you when you walk in to get checked in. Her beautiful smile and her pleasant character makes you feel so comfortable from the moment you walk in. I will go back just for her as she is what made my experience that much better. This hotel is beautiful and breathtaking. Although the food at the restaurants I wouldn’t go for again since it lacked flavour and the service at the restaurants not that attentive. But their breakfast service is good and also those working are excellent. It’s the staff after breakfast that really don’t live up to the standard of what the hotel offers. But because of Nicole’s service I have given it a 5 star for service. The rooms are well staged and beautiful. All the amenities were great and beautiful. The staff all throughout the hotel are great ( except those of the restaurant working afternoons and night ). I will definitely go back soon and highly recommend everyone go check them out.

We stayed in February 2025. And was one of the best experiences we had at a hotel easily. The staff went over and beyond to make our family of 3 welcome. The toddler was treated to special pancakes for breakfast and the staff was extremely courteous and professional but still were very warm and friendly. I highly recommend especially if you have a family and want a relaxing experience

For the price, it didn’t feel like a good value. The Hilton just down the street was similarly priced but offered a more upscale experience overall. While our room and the hotel interior were nice, the outdoor areas—like the pool, bars, and seating—felt more like a 3-star hotel. In the end, the room was nice, but the overall experience didn’t match the price.
