Santé Royale Hotel & Gesundheitsresort Bad Langensalza

Located in close proximity to the old part of Bad Langensalza the Sante Royale Hotel is definitively the best accommodation option in town. The rooms are spacious and clean with direct access to the backyard. The front desk staff is nice, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet however was a bit disappointing. Besides apples and pears no fresh fruits available. The pastries looked like they were taken out of a packages from the supermarket and absolutely no local specialties like Mettwurst, Knackwurst, Mühlhäuser Pflaumenmus, etc. The service personnel in the restaurant reacted annoyed when we asked them to bring us a pot of coffee from the wheel kart standing across the breakfast room. Same with the missing utensils on the table. Overall very nice location and venue but you can save yourself the money for breakfast and spend it in a nice local cafe in town.

Came here for our Anniversary and we've stayed in a lot of 4 to 5 star hotels but here I was disappointed. Rooms very nice, no A/C. Maid service was excellent but the restaurant was apparently not what you expected. We had breakfast in the middle of the breakfast hours and every day the buffet was pretty empty (2 of 3 days) with no urgency to refill items that were low or gone. Kitchen door stood 75% of the time open so everyone could enjoy the loud noises of cleaning plates and silverware. This was also the standard evenings as well. If it wasn't for the restaurant I would have been able to give it another star.

Overall ok. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated with a warm, cosy feeling. The the easy acces to the spa is excellent.
