Excellent Stay at Sapaly Hotel Lao Cai I had a fantastic experience staying at Sapaly Hotel in Lao Cai. The location is extremely convenient—right near the Lao Cai border gate and just a short drive to Sapa. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything you need, including fast Wi-Fi, a minibar, and a comfortable bed. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, always ready to assist with a smile. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of both local and international options, and the hotel's restaurant served delicious food. One of the highlights was the indoor swimming pool and fitness center, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. I would definitely recommend Sapaly Hotel to anyone visiting Lao Cai, whether for business or leisure.
Good hotel near Lao Cai border centre
We just arrived as tourists to the border town of Lao Cai from Sapa and found the weather change quite stark - it was such a hot muggy day. I was holding our 5yo who was sick with a headache from the heat for some time at the entry of this hotel which was stark empty and not very cool due to all the huge doors all being kept open. Tried to just sit down in a chair as was still holding sick 5yo, to wait whilst the other family members were outside deciding what to do and got told by female front receptionist "this is my hotel - you can't stay here". Extremely cruel and heartless as if I was some homeless beggar peasant about to soil your precious little seat. Never experienced such discrimination before in Vietnam as all have been welcoming esp when seeking emergency toilet for the kids. Clearly only care about paying guests without any shred of basic humanity.
