Very impressed with the unbeatable location with direct connection to the underground passage. Both foods and the service were top notch, however the rooms leaning on classic style instead of modern style, having its own charm to specific customer demographic. Personally I love it.

The service was excellent. One of highest level of service we experience in Japan. They have many staff in the lobby waiting to serve and also many waitresses and waiters in the restaurant during our breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back again. The location was very central between Sapporo station and also Susukino. It also has access to the underground walkway and shopping area.

Grand in name only Receptionist who checked me in was no smiles, I could justify it by saying this is a cheap hotel, but alas it is Japan. The porter, an older man, who showed me to my room was very polite. Two staff members guided me even though I only had a small bag, which was unexpected. Room itself was brand new so there should be no problems there. However, my room was on a low floor and at the very end of of a long long walkway. Did not know if this was intentional. Price wise, it was expensive for the size, and that it’s in a small city such as Sapporo. Windows were very small due to the building’s history. View was quite problematic as the office workers from the building right across can see into the room throughly. The bathroom was very claustrophobic and cheap looking, but new and clean. No breakfast is included but I prefer room service anyway, and a ¥1000 yen voucher could be used. There were no staff members outside and when I came in, no one guided me, making me a bit confused. All in all, the hotel is past its prime and similar to a regular business hotel.
