Stayed here for one night as we were catching a flight from Stansted. Conveniently located to the airport, about four miles. We were greeted by Mandy on reception, what a lovely lady, all smiles and chatty, made us feel very welcome! The room was comfortable with some nice touches. I love the rubber duck in the bathroom!!! Breakfast was very good too, we had full English which was very substantial, there was lots of choice on the menu. We were looked after by Lorie, another lovely lady! Very attentive and always smiling! Everything was clean and tidy. My only criticism is that I felt that drinks were expensive, paid £10 for 2 large bottles of water, and £16 for a pint and a large glass of wine. Apart from that, our experience here has been a great start to our holiday! We would definitely recommend and will be returning here for our next trip from Stansted!

Being a pub it closed at 11 pm everyone had all left by 11:30, then very quiet. The bathroom was nice however the were marks on the duvet cover. Breakfast doesn't start till 8 am on the Sunday that I stayed. I ordered poached eggs they turned over done.

Went here for my birthday. Lovely attentive waitress and good food. I enjoyed it very much. I would just say that the price of bread with dipping oil was a bit on the steep side. £9.50 for 6 pieces of average plain white bread and a small pot of oil for dipping. Most places I go offer a nicer selection of breads warm with a larger pot of oil for about £6.50. I wouldn't order this again as quite pricey. Everything else lovely.
