Just got back from a great stay at the S'Arena Beach Oasis in La Caletta, Sardinia, and let me tell you, it was super! Our room was super spacious, with a bed so comfy it practically invited relaxation after a day of exploring. The hotel itself was awesome too. They had a gym for those who like to stay active, a fun paddle court to whack some balls around with friends, and a giant, sparkling pool that was a lifesaver on those hot Sardinian days. The people working at the S'Arena Beach Oasis were the absolute best. Everyone we met was super friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to make sure we had a great time. Shoutout to chef Vito, who cooked up this insanely delicious beef fillet with a killer peppercorn sauce. & potato cake. Seriously, amazing! Maurizio the bartender was great too, always ready with a smile and very helpful. Also, Elisabetta, the receptionist manager, was professional and super nice, making sure everything ran smoothly for us. The location couldn't have been better. The beautiful La Caletta beach was just a five-minute walk away, so spending our days soaking up the sun and swimming in those turquoise waters was a breeze. Overall, our stay at the S'Arena Beach Oasis was fabulous. From the comfy room and cool facilities to the amazing staff and delicious food, it had everything we needed for a perfect, relaxing vacation. We'll for sure be back for more Sardinian paradise soon!
Stayed here 3 nights. Room was reasonable, but bed was very firm. Double beds are 2 singles zipped together. Breakfast was the poorest we’ve had in Italy. Croissants were stale, bread rolls were like rocks, only one fruit option, fruit juice was cordial out of a machine. Only good thing was quality of coffees and friendly staff. The complex is very open, so if the wind is blowing there’s nowhere to seek shelter. The hotel and pool area is family focused, so this is not a great hotel for couples.if you’re lucky, the view from the room is the pool area. The other view is road/wasteland. It’s a 10 minute walk into town. While we were here, the hotel hosted a wedding, with the loud party going on from 1pm till very late - not great for hotel guests and not ideal when you’re trying to sleep on hard beds after midnight. The beach is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, across the main road. It’s a beautiful long sandy beach. The weird thing is the loungers and umbrellas for the hotel are in the 3rd row. The first 2 rows were empty, but you couldn’t take one of those.
We spent one week at this hotel, and unfortunately, we left with extremely negative experiences — we will never return. The problems started right away: pigeons nesting in the roof structure made constant noise, making it impossible to rest. The breakfast was unacceptable — it couldn't even be called food. I had stomach pain every day after eating it. The walls were paper-thin; we could hear everything from the neighboring room. The air conditioning was unbearably loud, and we could even hear it coming from the room next door. However, the most serious issue happened on the day of our departure — a traumatic experience we are still trying to process. Two days prior, we requested an airport transfer at the reception for August 7th at 6:00 AM. A lady with purple hair took all the necessary information and verbally confirmed that the taxi was already booked. Later, she sent us a message on WhatsApp informing us of the price of the transfer, but we never received any official confirmation — no email, no written document. This was already concerning. When we initially booked the hotel, the listing stated that airport transfer was included in the price. Then, two days before departure, we were told it was not. On August 7th, we checked out before 6:00 AM as planned, to make it to the airport on time — but the taxi never arrived. There we were, in the early morning hours, standing outside with our luggage, completely abandoned. The elderly man at reception was not only unhelpful but also rude and dismissive. This is absolutely unacceptable in any hotel. We were deeply disappointed — not only in the hotel itself but also in how the entire situation was handled. We cannot recommend this hotel under any circumstances, because based on our experience, we have no idea how they handle complaints or compensation requests — and from what we did see, it appears they have no functioning system in place for either. In the end, we were so desperate that we had to hitchhike with three large suitcases, completely exhausted. Our feet were sore and blistered from all the walking. The entire time, we were terrified we would miss our flight, which would have meant losing even more money on top of everything else. I was in tears — our pets were waiting for us at home, and since we had planned to return that day, there was no one else to care for them. Thankfully, a driver finally stopped and gave us a ride to the airport — but just think for a moment: what if something had happened to us in a stranger’s car? The whole situation was frightening and incredibly distressing. We are still in shock from the experience. This was not just a minor inconvenience — it was a serious, exhausting ordeal that completely ruined the end of our holiday. We are deeply disappointed.
