Good economy hotel for stay.very near to blue mosque 5 mins walk. Room are too small and no lifts in hotel if get room on 4th floor like we get then you have to take 52 steps to get in room. Staff was helpful reception staff very helpful Hikmat. Nothing really near to have good economy meal every restaurant near by so expansive though.

It was my first time visiting Istanbul and we were sent to this hotel through our package provider, Love Holidays. Advantages of staying at this hotel: You are a nine minute walk from the tram stop, Sultanahmet, The Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. You are also close to many restaurants and supermarkets for buying your amenities. The staff are very friendly and speak very good English. But that’s where the good things stop. I hate to carry on but I have to. The disadvantages of this hotel: it is a very dated building, there is no lift in this hotel, but there is one in the Sarniç premier, which is weird. We were first given a tiny room with a window that overlooked a wall, that was it. I was very distressed. We were moved to a room with a lot more light in which was fine. My fiancé and I discovered that the bathroom was disgusting. The shower was full of black mold, there was some kind of electrical wiring sticking out of the wall which was dangerous in itself, and the toilet leaked. We had to keep putting towels around it or we would’ve slipped and fallen. The next thing was the mirror in the room was coming away from the wall. Do they normally do that? Next were the other guests in Room 402. We stayed from July 28th to August 2nd 2025. Throughout our stay, every single night, the guests in that room kept slamming the doors so hard, leaving at all hours of the day it stopped us from going to sleep until late. At first we thought it was the staff quarters but I followed the guests I suspected it was up and knew it was them. Then comes breakfast. We knew it would be different to what we eat but it was very lacking in terms of international cuisine. One coffee machine and one juice machine. Evening meal was just as bad. The food was microwaved to heat it up and my fiancé was poorly (sick) from eating this chicken dish we had. We appreciated what we got but I question the hygiene standards. You had to go up so many flights of stairs to get to the room. If you have mobility problems please do not stay at this hotel. Sarniç Hotel needs a major refurbishment. Unfortunately we will not be returning here if we visit Istanbul again. But I just want to say the staff were wonderful and kind, we appreciate everything they’ve done for us. They were very kind to offer us a room as my fiancé struggled with the stairs, but we were checking out the next day so there was no point.
