I love this place! We visited this place for dessert and drinks, and it was an absolute delight! The staff, from the doorman to the waitresses, was incredibly kind and helpful. Everything was kept spotless and tidy, which added to the overall ambiance. The cheesecake was served beautifully and had a wonderful flavor! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’ll definitely be returning.
We stayed at Stanley Hotel Nairobi for three nights as a stopover on our way back from the Masai Mara, and it was the perfect way to end our trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. They truly couldn’t do enough for us—always friendly, helpful, and attentive to every detail. A special thank you to Eunice, Caroline, and Peter—their warmth and professionalism stood out and made our stay even more enjoyable. Whether it was arranging transport, helping with meals, or just being available with a smile, they made us feel right at home. The hotell itself was clean, comfortable, and offered a calm atmosphere, which was just what we needed after a few adventurous days in the Mara. We highly recommend Stanley Hotel Nairobi to anyone looking for great service and a friendly place to stay in the city. We’ll definitely be back! ⸻
“A timeless Nairobi sanctuary with a whisper of Hemingway.” I stayed three nights at Sarova Stanley and it felt like living in Nairobi’s history while cocooned in comfort. This is where Ernest Hemingway once stayed, where dignitaries and explorers paused before Africa’s wild called them forward. The air conditioned rooms blend classic teak elegance with modern comfort, and the brilliant Spa room melts away every ache from long safari drives. If you’ve spent days on rough Mara trails, this spa will feel like a homecoming for your tired limbs. Don’t miss stepping inside the vintage lift near the lobby—a graceful, brass-clad time capsule that still hums floor to floor with quiet dignity. As the iron gates close with a soft clink, you feel the crisp linen suits, the whispered safari plans, the romance of travel before screens ruled us. In that brief, hushed ascent, Sarova Stanley’s soul comes alive. One of the highlights is the 5th floor open terrace bar, with magnificent bartenders who craft cocktails with a flourish, serving everything from rare single malts to innovative African gin blends under the Nairobi sky. It’s the perfect place to watch the city lights and swap stories with travelers. Breakfast at Thorn Tree Café is a quiet, fresh start, and the heated rooftop pool offers a calm swim above the city’s bustle. and the Health Club is well-equipped for jetlag-busting workouts. The location lets you walk to Nairobi’s museums, yet inside, history hums softly with old chandeliers and polished corridors once walked by Winston Churchill and Karen Blixen. What truly sets Stanley apart is its world-class staff—never in an off mood, always kind, attentive, and quietly jovial. The concierge team is outstanding, ready with a warm smile, a restaurant tip, or a gentle solution before you even know you need one. For a Nairobi stay that blends legacy, warmth, and a splash of Hemingway romance, Sarova Stanley remains unmatched.
