we rented one of the apartment and enjoyed every moment. Clean, simple, elegant, well equipped kitchen. Ski tracks in front of the door, good icefishing in the lake. Great for little kids as well - swimming pool, julenisse hus, horses, spark ...we will come again for sure
Tasty food, nice rooms, friendly and helpful staff and very nice massage experience. I could get everywhere in the hotel with my wheelchair, door to my room was a tight squeeze and the bathroom had a step up so I had to use my crutches there but they did warn me about that in advance when I booked. Overall a very nice experience and I hope I can come back here in the future.
This is a review of the camping place and spa. We did not stay at the hotel. First we paid 370 kr per night even though on the website is listed as 340 kr per night. When we asked about this they say that they forgot to update the prices on the website. The area of the hotel is very nice and ideal for nordic skying, this is the reason why we choose the camping on the first place. However, we found out that the trails (and the snow in general) gets only cleaned Wednesdays and Fridays so other days when it snows bad luck. Regarding the facilities, there is no proper gray water disposal but a sink in a room with extremely slippery tiles. There is also a toilet for latrine disposal. The toilet block is down from the parkings which was a bit a challenge with 30 cm of new snow. Toilets are ok but not many 4 for women for the places. The showers are a comunal building that looks like the bathroom of saw. Green stains, the water did not drain and zero privacy. There are washing machines and one drier included in the price. The washing machines you need to figure out which one works since many are broken. The dryer after three times tumbling still left the clothes wet. We were also quite disappointed about the spa which has seen better times and is in need of renovations. The were rust stains over the nice panoramic windows, the massage chairs were all chipped and broken. The area was in general extremely hot. For the changing rooms there is no where to change but a comunal room with very small lockers and space. For us it was ok since the day we went was really empty but otherwise not really worthy the admission price. Finally we checked in and paid in advance for our stay, on Monday and Tuesday the place was closed so we could not extend our stay. On Wednesday as the first day that the trails were finally cleaned (and the day we were supposed to leave) we decided to stay longer and emailed the place to let them know. We asked if we could pay at our check out the remaining two days. They asked us however to go to the reception instead and pay again in advance for our stay. The paying and the checking process both times took literally forever. For the price of 370 a night, the facilities are not really up to a good standard and there are many things that should be improved. Overall it feels like the focus is on the hotel and the permanent campers and the daily guests are rather tolerated than welcomed.
