An unforgettable week in a wonderful hotel! My family and I spent a fantastic week at this hotel, and everything exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, always ready to assist and make us feel at home. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. Food was delicious and varied, with a great selection of fresh and high-quality food. The hotel’s facilities were beautiful and perfect for a relaxing family vacation. The only thing that could be improved is the internet in the room, as it didn’t work properly. If this is fixed, the experience would be perfect in every way. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend this hotel. We can’t wait to come back!

Whilst this is hotel is fine and the staff were great it is not 5 star. No idea how it can be considered as such. We had a perfectly acceptable time but nothing more and spent nearly a week here so this review is fair. Hard beds, this issue was dealt with upon complaint with a mattress topper, that's fine but luxury does not feel like that and so we should not need to ask. No wifi in our bedrooms. I do not expect to get it on the beach, not even by the pool but in my room does seem a very reasonable and basic expectation. The hotel reception suggest a use of what's app to contact them as the long walk and number of steps is considerable, pointless system when you need to walk halfway up and sit in the restaurant to get wifi that connects. We were proudly given advice on arrival of unlimited download and upload speeds as well as unlimited data and so we were extremely disappointed that every time we needed to check messages and make contact with anyone, let alone catch up on news we had to walk to the beach bar where service was patchy, up to the restaurant where service was OK but slow, or all the way to reception where it was no better. During our stay we had to make bookings and trip alterations so did need wifi, not just want it. We were over promised and completely under delivered, having had excellent wifi in the middle of the serengeti we felt this was again, not five star and not was was promised or expected. Food was fine, not great, spoons seem rare and unlikely to be given with a teacup or anywhere near an item that would clearly need them (like porridge which was on offer twice, or soup!). Coffee was poor, only one coffee machine on site and was at the beach bar. We had improperly cooked raw chicken served on skewers, this was unacceptable. With a consideration made for where we were, and who they need to appeal to, we do not expect to be constantly delighted but there was a sense that standards were quite low and management failed to maintain a level that customers should expect, broken taps, chipped crockery, a severe lack of spoons, stained and dirty seat cushions and placemats in restaurant. I only leave this review as a warning to those who may be, like we were, duped by a series of good reviews and some endlessly positive comments. Some people are easily pleased and we, are by no means, difficult or unreasonable folk. We have travelled widely and stayed in great places, average places and some dreadful too. This hotel sits firmly in the average category, the staff are great but could have better training and management for sure, the rooms are clean but tired and broken in places with furniture doors and drawers that do not shut, windows that do not close to help quieten the nearby building work (no fault of this hotel and we feel sorry for them really but starts at 7.30am and finishes under floodlights at gone 9pm each day) I suspect this nearby building work may also be partly why music is so loud and self indulgent, chosen by young men and played at annoying levels to obstruct conversation and prevent relaxation, streamed on staff wifi that I cannot access at all bars. Nothing was so bad we had to leave, nothing was so awful we could not accept it and try to make the best of it, but everything was bad enough to bother writing all of this down to help others and hope that management of the hotel or group that seem so proud of it realise that it's not good enough and not worthy of the publicised rating. A pointless TV in the room with only a couple of foreign channels that seem only to be actually infomercials, tired and broken fittings and general maintenance issues across the complex, inconsistent food and drinks such as cocktails that should, but never do, look or taste the same, a lack of comfort and quality and a low level of standards throughout. All these things and more point to lack of standards, lack of investment or a lack of care to be better. I leave these comments in good faith, staff are good but need better guidance, after seeing such good reviews I hope this is a reality check.
